Concession Stand

The Council operates a concession stand at Oriole Park during baseball season and a concession stand at M&T Bank Stadium during football season.

For baseball - the manager and one or two assistants must be at Oriole Park 4 to 4 1/2 hours before game time and the rest of the workers arrive between 3 and 4 hours before game time. After the game, the stand must be cleaned and the workers are released at the discretion of the group manager but generally no more than 1 hour after the game. The manager must wait for the ARAmark supervisor to verify inventory counts and may stay up to 2 or 2 1/2 hours after the game.

For football - the group manager and one or two assistants must be at the stadium 5 to 5 1/2 hours before kickoff and the workers report between 4 and 5 hours before game time. Same after game situation although my experience has been the manager is generally done 1 1/2 hours after the game.

The stand at Oriole Park requires 14 to 18 people. With 14, the work is extremely hustle bustle. With 18, though still hustling - there is time to offer 15 minute breaks throughout.

The stand at M&T Bank Stadium requires 11 to 14 people.

All workers must be 18 years old or older.

ALL workers must be TIPS alcohol awareness trained.

Uniform - black trousers (not jeans); comfortable, non-slip shoes. We provide the jerseys and hats.
